As we slide from September into October, the feel of these indies games are seeming to… change. Like the leaves on the trees, this month’s titles are getting darker and dropping fast. And just when you think you’ve raked them all up, another pile appears. So, keep an eye on the schedule dates to avoid anything sneaking up on you:

October 8 – PS, Xbox, Switch, PC: “Time is your greatest resource and secrets are your only upgrades. Master an unraveling time loop in this knowledge-based Metroidvania. As the last Weaver, exploit time-altering anomalies and use what you learn to break the cycle. Explore what remains. Uncover the mystery. Perfect the loop.”
October 8 (EA) – PC: “Dancing with Ghosts is an uplifting narrative game about learning to live after loss. Befriend a cheery ghost and earn the good karma that recovers her memories by dancing, making roti, and helping your neighbors around a lively Thai river village, finding healing in every connection you make.”
October 8 – PS, Xbox, Switch, PC: “Silver Pines is a survival horror metroidvania set in small town America. Fight nightmarish terrors and solve puzzles, while carefully managing your scarce resources as you uncover the mysteries that could hold the key to redemption.”
October 9 – PC: “Drive your pickup truck through seemingly peaceful countryside valleys, deliver much-needed goods to local townsfolk and unravel the small town mystery. Beware, the old forest is watching.”
