Welcome to This Week In Indies, a quick look at this week’s indie warped in digitally each Monday so you can plan out your indie gaming calendar. As always, you can always scope out our further-reaching 2024 release list to see what awaits in the impending weeks, months, and year.
We hope you have a lot of time because it seems indie developers have decided to overload this week with releases. Not only are there a ton of games to check out, but each one scratches a vastly different itch. Want a gritty supernatural RPG? The Thaumaturge is here for you. Craving a game along the lines of Mega Man? Berserk Boy is dashing in for that retro flavor. Need a new party game for the weekend? Astro Duel 2 is the perfect game to start new rivalries with friends.
If you can spare any free time between new releases (and probably Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth), Xbox is showcasing its upcoming slate of third-party games this Wednesday. We’ll of course be covering the Partner Preview and will highlight any and all new indie news dropping from the event.
