Nintendo’s Indie World Crammed So Incredibly Full Of Announcements

Nintendo, being Nintendo, revealed another early-morning showcase the day before it aired. While the notice may have been short and the presentation brief—running only about fifteen minutes—the sheer volume of noteworthy news was wild. You can watch the entire Indie World here if you didn’t catch it at the crack of dawn, and below, you’ll find a helpful breakdown.

Denshattack!

This Tony-Hawk-like train game is coming to Switch 2 on June 17, and you can read our latest impressions of it here. Spoilers: It’s good.

It turns out, all dogs do go to heaven. This little corgi is waiting in the afterlife to greet its human on May 29.

Heave Ho 2

Heave Ho 2 launches on Switch this summer, which makes it one of several games teasing a warm-weather release dates.

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault

We got an unexpected Early Access Period last year, but it looks like the full game is hitting in 2026.

It’s happening! We’ve had our eyes on Woodo for some time, but this summer promises to reveal the whittled tale.

Minishoot’ Adventures

One of the best underrated gems is out on Switch today. Like, go play it now.

The Midnight Walk

Another previously released title that’s good to see coming to more platforms, The Midnight Walk is coming to Nintendo’s console on March 26.

Rotwood

Taking Klei Entertainment’s look for Don’t Starve but serving into a very different genre, Rotwood is a console exclusive out today.

Mixtape

I would never have guessed this announcement going into today’s showcase, especially since this title debuted at an Xbox-branded presentation, but we have a release date for Mixtape?? And it’s May 7.

Blighted

We didn’t get an exact release date for Blighted, but it’s still looking gorgeous and plans to land sometime in the fall.

A roguelike shooter is an unusual find an Indie World, but here we are. And the game drops on March 17.

Sizzle Reel

This is a collection of quick announcements you’ll want to pay attention to. Outbound is launching on April 23. Unrailed 2: Back on Track has a demo up and releases in May. TOEM 2 — how are we putting this in a montage? — is looking at a summer drop. inKONBINI is coming on April 30. And we’re going to be digging up crops and corpses sometime this summer in Grave Seasons.

Blue Prince

We got an absolute beauty of a one last thing to end the show. Blue Prince is now on the Switch. I had hoped its migration would include the hinted-at future content, which will bring the in-game arcade Dirigiblocks to life. Alas, we continue to wait, unless you’re picking the game up on Switch for the first time today.
