Coffee Talk Tokyo Delayed, New Game Revealed At Toge’s Anniversary Event 2026

Toge Productions celebrated its 17th Anniversary with a presentation filled with big announcements. The team has been behind a slew of indie darlings, including A Space for the Unbound, When the Past was Around, and — most notably for this presentation — the Coffee Talk series.

You can watch the entire event here, though I have included below a score of key announcements that came out of today’s show.

Coffee Talk Tokyo Delay

It’s true. Though the anticipated follow-up has been delayed, don’t despair! The narrative adventure is only moving a couple of months back and has a definitive release date. Expect to jump back in on May 21. To give fans a treat in the initial release window, the team announced the original Coffee Talk is coming to mobile devices on March 20. As to why the game is moving, here’s what the team had to say:

This additional time will allow the team to further polish the experience and make sure everything feels just right when players finally step behind the counter in Tokyo.

Work Work Work Announced

This looks like it’s going to be a wild one — and it might hit a little too close for comfort to many of us. The game runs on a rougelike logic of repeating a loop, but this one asks players to work until they die. The Steam page gives us a little more description:

WORK WORK WORK is a retro pixel-art adventure game where you experience the surreal cycle of work, life, and death. Find clues, gather information, and explore the Triquetra company to discover the truth, and find out that maybe there’s more meaning in working, and living.

Updates: Quick And Dirty

One of my favorite out-of-left-field projects from Toge, Whisper Mountain Outbreak, has an update incoming. A Space for the Unbound is also on its way to mobile this year. Moses & Plato: Late Train to Clawville is set to launch on PC sometime in 2026. And don’t forget to check out Toge Productions’ Steam publisher sale that went live following the event.
