There’s so much going on in the video game industry, especially this week in the indie space, that it’s hard to keep track of everything. We can’t in good conscience leave you going about your day uninformed. Here are a few quick pieces of news you may want to be aware of.

Animal Well Physical Edition Available For Preorder May 25
Announced yesterday, publisher Big Mode is partnering with Limited Run to produce physical copies of Billy Basso’s Animal Well. While the game launches tomorrow on digital storefronts on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, Limited Run will open preorders for a standard ($39.99 USD) and collector’s editions ($99.99 USD) for Animal Well on May 25. You can find each Limited Run edition of Animal Well to preorder here.

Dungeons Of Hinterberg “Slaytest” Begins Tomorrow
Can’t wait to start dungeon diving in scenic Hinterberg? You’re in luck! Starting tomorrow, Microbird Games is running a “Slaytest” of Dungeons of Hinterberg on Steam. All you need to do is to click the “Request Access” button on the game’s Steam page. If you’re chosen to participate, you’ll be able to play the first two in-game days, featuring a beginner and Doberkogel dungeon.
If you’re willing to wait for the full game, it’s out on July 18.

You Can Enter The Chronosphere Temporarily Next Week
Effort Star’s top-down turn-based Rouguelike Enter the Chronosphere will be part of next week’s Steam Endless Replayability Fest. A demo for the game will be available on Steam from May 13 through May 20.
People I talked to at PAX East in March were buzzing about Enter the Chronosphere’s demo, so I’m excited to get my hands on it next week.
Designated Demigod Combos Fighting Games And RPGs, Arrives In 2025
From the developers of NA Productions and the publishing team of Armor Games, Designated Demigod mixes a traditional turn-based RPG with hype combos you’d often see in a fighting game. The result is a combat system that’s best to be seen in action. Check out the debut trailer above, and then wait impatiently with me for Designated Demigod to drop sometime next year.
