Welcome to This Week In Indies, a peek at the indie offerings on Console and PC you can look forward to playing in the following days. As always, you can always scope out our further-reaching 2024 release list to see what awaits in the impending weeks, months, and year.
It’s hard to follow the stellar list of games that we had last week, and while today’s list isn’t as deep as its predecessor, the final full week of April is still delivering awesome experiences we can’t wait to check out.
Spread throughout the week are three highly-anticipated games from three of the most popular genres today. The week starts off with the EA Original Tales of Kenzera: ZAU from Surgent Studios. Do yourself a favor and take a few minutes to watch creative director Abubakar Salim’s short film “My Shoes, Your Feet,” which Salim calls “the real story behind ZAU.” It’s a beautiful and emotional tale of a boy and his father that you absolutely must watch. Not to be outdone, Klei’s forest delving Rogue-lite Rotwood enters early access on Wednesday, with Aggro Crab’s sophomore project, the crustacean Souls-like Another Crab’s Treasure, skittering into release on Thursday. Check out Jill’s preview of Another Crab’s Treasure here.
Without further ado, here are the indies releasing this week:
