This Week In Indies: February 5 – February 9

Welcome to This Week In Indies, a quick look at the tenacious indie releases ready to be unleashed on the unsuspecting public to be collected and played on that given week. As always, you can always scope out our further-reaching 2024 release list to see what awaits in the impending weeks, months, and year.

There’s a bit to talk about regarding the past week and the coming days, so here is your weekly installment of This Week In Indies:

First, I’d like to thank everyone who stopped by the site last week to read Jill’s 30 Under 30 feature, spotlighting thirty ID@Xbox developers making great games with under thirty people on staff. It was a huge undertaking for Jill, and the sheer number of times our readers and others shared it was overwhelming (in the best way!), and we cannot thank you enough.

If you’re new to The Indie Informer, welcome! We’re happy to have you and hope you share your love for indie games with the community.

If you want to support what we do here, we appreciate any and all social media shares you can muster. We also have a Patreon, in which members receive benefits such as an invitation to The Indie Informer’s Discord server, voting for what games we play on our Twitch streams, and shout-outs to you on the site and video content, depending on the tier.

We’re in the midst of another quiet week on the indie release front, but that doesn’t mean you’ll be at a loss for things to play. Starting today and running until February 12 is the first Steam Next Fest of the year. For the entire week, Steam is loaded with playable demos of some of the coolest indie games arriving in the coming months. Get ready to fill up your PCs and Steam Decks with every demo you find interesting. Of course, you can expect to read our impressions of a handful of these game demos in the following days. Who knows? You may even see us on Twitch throughout the week showing off various Next Fest participants.

Looking for the complete package instead of a demo? Here are the indies you can look forward to playing this week:

This article is made possible by The Indie Informer’s generous Friend supporters who joined the site’s Patreon to ensure the team’s ability to bring the community more content. We couldn’t be more grateful for their help and, from our hearts, thank you all.

Thank You To Our Patrons:
