With Hanukkah concluding tonight and Christmas just over a week away, the holidays are in full force. This year, indie developers are showing up with gifts, adding seasonal accoutrements to their recent releases. Here’s a handful of newly updated games to get you into the holiday spirit.

Deceit 2
If you’re into mixing slays with your sleighs, some yuletide terror is being added to Deceit 2. From December 14 until January 4, you can participate in a Christmas event that we’ve been told is a “festive nightmare.” Not only is the event loaded with holiday-themed skins and Christmas decorations, but it also comes paired with updated UI, menus, graphical elements, and tweaks rebalancing the gameplay. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!

Party Animals
Nobody likes to fight during the holidays, but we can make an exception if it happens in Party Animals. While the new Conveyor map isn’t tied to December’s celebrations, the in-game shop is stocked with holiday outfits to dress up your favorite furry adorabrawler in. To collect every style, drops on Twitch (December 7 – December 17) and TikTok (December 17 – January 1) are available to complete your winter wardrobe.

PowerWash Simulator
Spring is a popular time of year to tidy up the place, but have you ever tried a Christmas cleaning? This week’s free PowerWash Simulator update focuses on spraying down Santa’s Workshop while getting the dirty details of why it’s so messy from a resident elf. Futurlab knows what players wish for and has created the most cleanable objects in any PWS map yet, with over 500 things to ding.

A Little To The Left
Settle down by a warm, cozy fire and relax with fresh frosty puzzles in A Little To The Left. The Merry Mess update delivers a new puzzle in Daily Tidy mode each day starting December 22 and concluding December 26. That’s like an extra day of Christmas! Beginning on December 27, the five holiday-themed levels join the game’s Archive to enjoy whenever. So don’t fret if you can’t open these gifts as soon as they appear under the tree.
